Not with a script. Not with all the answers. Just with honesty, real care, and a genuine desire to help. I've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes people don't need solutions right away. They just need someone to actually show up and not disappear when things get hard.

Caring for elders is sacred work. I say that and I mean it. But I also know it is exhausting, underpaid, emotionally heavy work, and on those days I have learned to lean on God and trust that He has not forgotten me. Or you.

I have watched a good joke do more for a resident's spirit than a dozen medications. I will never apologize for bringing lightness into hard places.

I was a nurse. I've led teams. I've raised five kids mostly on stubbornness and prayer. If my story helps even one person feel less alone in this work, then every hard day was worth it. That's the whole point.

Your legacy is not your title. It's not your org chart or your LinkedIn. It's the way people felt when you walked into a room. It's whether you actually saw them.

I want to be the person who saw people. That's it. That's the whole resume.

And if my journey reminds even one caregiver, leader, or family member that their work matters, that their service is meaningful, and that God walks beside them through all of it, then every single step of this journey will have been worth it.
